As homeschoolers we found some advantages we didn’t expect.

 

We took vacations when others couldn’t, so we had better pricing and fewer lines to wait in.  We were able to schedule art lessons, piano lessons, and swimming lessons when local instructors were more available and happy to have us.

 

When our children were older, they worked for employers when public school students could not work.  (After we changed the child labor laws to allow it!)  Employers became aware of homeschoolers as a resource they had not considered before.
